Objectives of this lesson:

• Introduce the class to the temple preparation course.
• Help the class to understand that this is an appropriate place to talk about the temple. Of course, as the instructor, it will be your job to respond appropriately if class members should ask questions about the few specific parts of the temple that we are instructed not to talk about outside of the temple (this applies to some symbols of the endowment). This has never happened to me, but I assured members that I would just meet with them after if it was something that couldn't be discussed openly in class. 
• Help the class understand the importance and many purposes of temples.
• Teach the class how the endowment ceremony teaches us about the plan of salvation.
